Who We Are
As a teenager, Tamitha was the family's designated hair braider for her mother, sisters, cousins and aunts. Her braiding skills increased as she was challenged by her family to be creative and help them to stand out from the crowd. The challenge was eagerly welcomed and accepted. Through this challenge new styles to cater to her customers were created and the love of hair was realized.
In 1986, Tamitha started her own journey when she transitioned to wearing and caring for natural hair. In October 2001, Tamitha began locking her own hair. Over the next seven years of her journey she educated herself in the realm of holistic hair care after taking the time to read the ingredients of the products that were going into her hair and thus her body. During this time of discovery, her eyes were opened to the wonders and completeness that nature has to offer for the health and well being of our bodies as well as our spirit and the connection of mother earth to us as a people.
However, it was not until January 2008, that she began sharing her vast knowledge & love of natural hair with others seeking a more natural and spiritual connection with self; thus launching
Exquisite LocDesign, LLC.
In an effort to offer the best holistic hair care services, she completed a Holistic Hair Training, completed the Sisterlocks(R) Consultant Training, obtained her Sisterlocks(R) Certification in July 2010 and continues to attend various trainings and stays up to date with the latest literature to increase her knowledge base and bring the healthiest aspects of Locks & Natural Hair Care to her well deserving customers.
